How many people are on each trip?
Our groups range in size from 2 to 16 people.
Group sizes are displayed on each trip’s overview page on the website.
Do I need Visa to Switzerland?
Depending on the issuing country of your passport and the destination you will be traveling to, you might
need a Visa. We’ll help you along the Visa process, though, if you need one.
Do I need travel insurance?
If you have to apply for a Schengen visa to enter Switzerland, then you need travel insurance as part of
the visa application process. However, if you can travel to Switzerland visa-free, then travel insurance is only
optional. Still, regardless of visa requirements, it is highly advisable to purchase a travel insurance policy
when travelling to Switzerland, considering its high costs for medical treatment.
Is airfaire included?
No, unfortunately airfare is not included in any of our trips. Upon joining a trip we will provide recommended
arrival and departure times and recommended airlines for the destination at hand. However there will be few
trips where domestic flights may be included if the itinerary demands. These will be clearly marked in the itinerary.
Using cash or credit card in Switzerland?
You will need to take enough money to cover the cost of meals not included in the trip cost and of drinks,
tipping and other incidentals including shopping and optional activities. Advice on the amounts required
and the best currency to take is given in the trip notes.
You can find ATMs all over Switzerland. There are around 6,990 ATMs in the country in total and this can
be an ideal way to access cash abroad, although bank charges are sometimes quite high. In addition,
credit cards are now very widely accepted, particularly in larger cities. Travellers cheques can also be
useful in certain destinations, but are often time consuming and costly to exchange.
